Bagtlung, Feb 5: Doctors have discarded the Health Ministry's directive to return to the area they were posted. 
The doctors who have postings in Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital have not yet returned though the directive was made one and a half months ago. The Ministry had issues directive to return to the respective areas where the postings were made after mounting public criticism of doctors absent in the health facility for a long time. 
Though Baglung-based Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital has postings of 20 doctors including 11 specialists only five are on duty in the hospital. 
The health service delivery has been affected in absence of doctors in accordance with the quota, said the hospital sources. "Despite directives from Ministry, the doctors on posting in the zonal hospital have not yet come to resume service", said Hospital Chairperson Tikaram Sapkota. 
He said that the Ministry has directed Physician Dr Bimal Chalise, Skin and Venereal Disease Specialist Dr Ananda Nepal, Ortho Specialist Kishor Kumar Khatry, Anesthetic Specialist Dr Abhya Pokharel to return to the hospital. RSS
